As the Marketing Officer, you will provide event, project and administrative support to a range of projects/activities thus, helping the team to deliver successfully to its goals. The focus of your role will be on ensuring internal meetings and events and related travel and logistics are well-managed, people and programme knowledge and data is gathered, recorded and shared effectively.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
As the Marketing Officer, you will provide event, project and administrative support to a range of projects/activities so helping the team to deliver successfully to its goals. The focus of your role will be on ensuring internal meetings and events and related travel and logistics are well-managed, and people and programme knowledge and data is gathered, recorded, and shared effectively. You will also have to regularly check if the internal SharePoint/TeamSite is up-to-date, marketing support documentation is registered and maintained at all times, and data is collated and cleansed as required.
WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT
This is an exciting and new role where you will be an important part of the recently formed East Asia Marketing Leadership Team. The Leadership Team consists of experts from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. This role will give you the opportunity to play a key role coordinating and supporting the Marketing team members and major stakeholder groups across East Asia. The work will be varied and interesting, giving you the opportunity to engage and learn across the different business units and functions (Communications, Insights, Demand Generation, Branding, Technology, Finance, and more) co-ordinating between the Marketing and wider British Council regional and global teams.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Marketing Officer should be an enthusiastic and self-motivated person, who enjoys interacting with people. It is essential that you have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of one to two years of relevant work experience in project or programme management in a large and complex organisation. It is also preferred if you have experience of working with Marketing and/or Corporate Communications teams.
