The British Council in Singapore's Teacher Development Centre conducted a training course for 15 teachers from a Primary School in Thailand. The teachers were from various disciplines – English, Maths, Science, IT, Music and Dance – and spent six days with our Training Consultants, understanding and appreciating teaching methodologies and strategies that could support more active learning by students in their classrooms.
The teachers even spent a morning walking through the Singapore Botanical Gardens, immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of nature, and then learning how these rich experiences could be transferred into the classroom to make lessons more fun and engaging.
In turn, they taught us some Thai dancing!
