Year-End Holiday Programmes for Secondary

Register for an end of the year holiday course to build specific English skills in an engaging and enjoyable way.

These courses are specially offered to Secondary 1 to 4 students from 18 October.

Explore the topic of art and social media with two brand new courses.

Let's Talk About Art *NEW*

Is graffiti considered art or vandalism? Are screen print copies art? Explore the works of popular artists and develop general knowledge through discussions on visual texts and reading texts.

Secondary students will have a chance to bring out their artistic views and present their ideas and opinions through the process of essay writing. Referencing street art and pop art, students will research, brainstorm, plan and write their essays. With peer and teacher feedback, they will be able to refine their final pieces.

By the end of the course, students will:

  • Have developed and discussed opinions on graffiti and modern art as works of art
  • Be better able to share these opinions using modal verbs in oral and written expository texts
  • Have analysed and written a persuasive essay or a discursive essay and understand the differences between them.
