Fact and Fiction – a creative writing course for Primary 2 and 3
Good writing is complex and the sum of many parts. This course gives your child the opportunity to focus on practicing the parts in isolation. In this five-day course, students will analyse and practise targeted language features of both situational and continuous writing text types.
Your child will learn to develop characters and plots in narratives as well as how to use technical language in informational texts. At the end of the course, your child will take home a portfolio of work that they can reference when it comes to completing writing tasks for school.
This course is suitable for students currently in Primary 2 and 3.
Learn and Explore - Comprehension Skills 2
Be a better reader!
Students will read from a range of engaging, fiction and non-fiction texts, and practise answering basic question types. They will learn skills to reflect critically on their reading and themes, preparing them for success in the coming semester.
At the end of each lesson, students will review the day’s reading, discuss the day’s themes, what they have learned and think about what they want to understand more about!
