Develop a range of strategies to synthesise texts and write effective 'O' Level summaries. This workshop provides a focused approach to a skill students often struggle with.

This course is for Secondary 1 to 4. 

The course teaches how to:

Essay Writing

Understand and practice different sub-skills of writing. Learn and define techniques to improve your writing performance.

This course is for Secondary 1 to 4.

The course teaches:

  • understanding the demands of the question
  • introductions and conclusions
  • counter paragraphs and rebuttals
  • spotting errors and making changes

Debating and Public Speaking

This course challenges students to extend their speaking and writing skills to become more confident speakers and writers. The conclusion of the course will be a group debate competition.

This course is for Secondary 1 to 4.

The course teaches how to:

  • understand the processes of British Parliamentary Debate
  • analyse linguistic techniques

Presentation Skills - Secrets to Success *NEW*

Develop presentation skills for success in school. This course will give students the opportunity to explore and discuss the secrets to success. Based on this theme, they will learn and develop the skills to give a successful presentation. 

This course is for Secondary 1 to 4. 

The course teaches how to:

  • explore, analyse and practise language techniques for presentations
  • review and discuss what makes a successful presentation
  • learn about the effective learning strategies of grit and growth-mindsets
  • plan and give a presentation about strategies for learning English

'O' Level Intensive

A comprehensive overview of the ‘O’ Level English exam, including detailed input and guidance on all parts of the exam. Ideal for new students who want to brush up their exam skills, this also provides useful catch up for students wishing to join our Secondary 4 course in Term 3.

This course is for Secondary 4.
