Sze was born and grew up in Malaysia. She began teaching in 1999 and teacher training in 2005. She has lived and worked in various cities including Kunming, Katowice, Budapest and Bangkok. While she has teaching and training experience in state school contexts, she has spent most of her career in private language institutions, particularly as a CELTA trainer.
