Join us for an enriching career as the Finance Executive on a permanent basis in British Council Singapore.
British Council Singapore is one of the largest in the British Council’s global network with thousands of adults and young learners studying with us at any one time. We also have a large examinations operation facilitating the taking of UK examinations. In addition, we have enquiries on our educational and arts services. Our customers engage with us face-to-face, online, through email and via the phone, and as a result we have a large Sales & Customer Management team to ensure an efficient level of service.
As the Finance Executive, you will report to the Director of Finance and provide effective accounting and finance support for the Singapore directorate.
The main responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Support the compilation of statutory returns and GST Return
- General Accounting Process
- Cash Journal Withdrawal entry
- Support in banking related process
- Support payment and payment related process
- Cheque Generation and Refund of Payments
- Support in Compliance with Financial Control Compliance Framework Reports
- Credit Card Process
- Petty Cash and Company Safe
- Support in the Internal and External Audit Process
As the ideal candidate, you will possess at least GCE ‘O’ Levels qualification and bring along minimum 8 years experience in administration and accounting related tasks.

Please be advised that the successful candidate will normally be placed on the beginning of the pay scale for this payband which is from SGD 2,500 per month. Please also note the relevant passport or visa criteria which can be found in the Role Profile.
