This year, with our theme of GREAT Futures start in the UK, we put together three events.
6 March: Evening Gala
On 6 March, we hosted an Evening Gala which served as an occasion for us to come together again as a community from diverse walks of life, one that has used our experiences of a UK education, and our ties with the UK, to make positive contributions to our professions and to the societies we live in.
We hosted this event together with the British High Commission in Singapore, as an ongoing celebration of the United Kingdom-Singapore Strategic Partnership and of the bonds that we have helped nurture and strengthen between our two nations. At the heart of this partnership lies the human bridges that help us work together on innovative solutions to our common challenges. The evening was not just a celebration, but also a commitment to continue forging these bilateral links.
Because, GREAT Futures start with the UK!

5 March: Is Data Killing Intuition in Leadership, or Do Leaders Need Both?
Before these celebrations, we hosted a thought‑provoking panel discussion exploring one of today’s most pressing leadership challenges: how to navigate the tension between data‑driven decision‑making and intuition‑led judgment. Our panellists debated whether data is crowding out human insight - or whether the future of leadership demands a powerful blend of both.
Moderated by: Neil Humphreys
Panellists
Daisy Radford, Managing Director (APAC), Reversec; Board Member at the British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore
Jean-Paul Carvalho, Professor of Political Economy, University of Oxford, UK
Rosa Daniel, Dean, Culture Academy, MCCY; Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Singapore to UNESCO

5 March: Undergraduate Higher Education in the UK
This session brought together key stakeholders who advise students in Singapore on studying in the UK, with an aim to recognise long-standing partnerships and collaborations while sharing important updates about university admissions.
This closed session, for agents and school counsellors, featured updates from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). The forum included insights into the Agent Quality Framework (AQF) and the support available to students and to the higher education sector to ensure access to accurate and up-to-date information on emerging developments and enrolment trends.
Singapore-based counsellors and education agents had the opportunity to engage directly with UK representatives, ask questions, and share feedback on opportunities and areas for continued support.
