ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM
The British Council delivers over 3m UK exams worldwide in over 850 cities and towns. This post will work with Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand. Together these countries deliver over 800,000 exams annually.
Markets are varied and competition is often intense. The post supports the region towards getting the appropriate marketing mix in order to deliver ambitious regional growth targets.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
As part of the East Asia Exams Marketing Team, you will plan, develop and implement a marketing strategy in digital, search and social media. This includes managing, delivering and evaluating digital, social media and SEM/SEO campaigns to maximize outreach of our core exams products.
You will support various markets to compete with key competitors for market split using digital and search campaigns, agreeing the channels to market and monitor ongoing performance. You will also ensure effective, integrated and join up delivery of digital campaigns (digital advs, social media advs, performance monitoring, insights and action plans)
WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT
You will have opportunities to work at a regional level optimising digital performance for different markets in East Asia. This role will give you opportunities to gain insights on how each market works. You will be working with a large range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve your objectives to support our strategy for Exams in East Asia.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You should bring along at least three-years of solid working experience and track record of managing, developing and delivering successful online, digital and search engine marketing campaigns as well as evaluating the performance of the campaigns with experience in developing and creating digital and social media promotion materials.
You have experience coordinating with external suppliers and media agencies to deliver positive results on campaigns and projects and media platform management. You must also be able to prepare forecast and monitor budgets.
Fluency in both written and spoken English with a degree in marketing/business or professional certificate in digital and social marketing is essential.
