ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM
The Contracts team was set up in 2014 to look for new potential business opportunities in Singapore. Since then, it has grown into a team of 24 dedicated staff members. Additionally, many teachers from other departments within British Council Singapore teach on our courses on a regular basis.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
This post requires strong interpersonal skills, a high level of initiative and autonomy, an ability to teach a wide range of courses and a high degree of flexibility.
Aside from teaching, the coordinator is expected to support with the overall running of the department, including deputizing for the Senior Teachers during periods of absence. Daily activities will involve liaising with clients on contracts, content and scheduling, designing customized courses and developing materials for both EFL and EAL contexts. The coordinator will also be expected to support teachers in maintaining quality in the classroom and take responsibility for operational matters such as resourcing.
