If you’ve always been a fan of our Camps for kids aged 4 to 16, good news — our Winter Camps will help your child learn English every week until 23 February 2024!
Starting every Monday, each week is a complete, stand-alone English camp for students, with the option to register for as many camps as they wish. Programmes are aimed at Early Years, Primary and Secondary students (aged 4 to 16) until 15 December 2023 and focusing on Primary students (aged 6 to 12) until 23 February 2024 who wish to learn English within a safe, fun and supportive environment. At each camp students gain confidence in communicating together in English, and develop key skills like problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity!
Each day, students will get to study a different topic using a unique approach of hands-on, experiential learning that will spur on their urge to learn English while also increasing their knowledge and awareness of the world around them. Activities include lots of games and fun activities, group research projects, hands-on experiments, drama games, presentations and even excursions!
With the opportunity to develop their vocabulary on a range of different topics, gain confidence in communicating in a variety of situations, and improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the camp proves to be more than just a programme where kids learn English.
Small class sizes and genuine face-to-face interaction between students and teacher also ensure the best way for students to learn. You’ll be happy to know that British Council’s experienced, friendly and internationally-qualified teachers hold professional teaching qualifications including CELTA, Delta, PGCE, MA TEFL, TYLEC with extensive experience in teaching children.
The British Council’s Winter 2023/2024 Camps are held at Napier Road Centre, just a five-minute walk from Napier MRT Station. You may check out our centre's virtual tour. The centre boasts 17 purpose-built, wifi-enabled classrooms, each equipped with an interactive whiteboard and a digital visualiser. There’s also a Young Learners learning zone and an air-conditioned, wifi-enabled café where parents can kick back or sneak some work in while waiting for their little ones to break camp!
