How are our courses delivered?

Our team of highly qualified and experienced teachers are dedicated to supporting you throughout your learning journey and helping you to achieve the results you desire through guidance and feedback which is specific to you and your goals. Our courses can be delivered:

  • part-time in a class size of maximum 16 students as we believe in keeping our classes small to maximise teacher-student interaction 
  • 1:1/Small group private lessons for adults where you get to interact with your teacher more at your own pace and time at any of our centres, at your workplace or residence in Singapore.

General English

This course is for adults who need to improve their English language skills for everyday use. The courses focus on improving oral communication and listening skills, as well as developing grammar and expanding vocabulary. 

By the end of the module, you will be able to:

  • speak English with greater accuracy and confidence
  • understand a variety of listening and written texts
  • read and understand a variety of reading texts
  • write with greater accuracy and effectiveness
  • understand and use a wider range of vocabulary.

Speak with Confidence Foundation

This course is for students whose English allows them to communicate with others at a basic level. The course focuses on improving spoken fluency and pronunciation and introduces useful phrases to communicate in everyday life. 

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Talk confidently with others in everyday situations
  • Speak clearly enough to be easily understood by others
  • Exchange opinions with others and agree or disagree politely
  • Understand and use with confidence the vocabulary of daily social life
  • Use a range of phrases to help you communicate effectively in everyday situations

Our Speak with Confidence Essential and Speak with Confidence Essential Plus courses are for adults who want to improve their spoken English language skills for everyday use. These short 20-hour courses give you the time and confidence to improve your oral communication and listening skills. 

This Speak with Confidence Essential course is for students whose English allows them to communicate with others quite well most of the time. The course focuses on improving spoken fluency and pronunciation and introduces useful phrases to support different types of communication.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Talk easily with others in common social situations 
  • Speak clearly enough to be easily understood by others 
  • Exchange opinions with others and give your point of view 
  • Understand and use with confidence the vocabulary of daily social life 
  • Use a range of phrases to help you communicate effectively in everyday situations

Speak with Confidence Essential Plus

Our Speak with Confidence Essential and Speak with Confidence Essential Plus courses are for adults who want to improve their spoken English language skills for everyday use. These short 20-hour courses give you the time and confidence to improve your oral communication and listening skills. 

This Speak with Confidence Essential Plus course is for students whose English already allows them to communicate effectively with others, but want to improve their fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and colloquial language in a wide range of daily and work-related contexts.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Talk easily with others in a wide range of social and work-related situations 
  • Speak clearly so that you are easily understood by a range of English speakers 
  • Deliver high-pressure communication such as presentations with greater confidence and clarity 
  • Understand and use with confidence the vocabulary, idioms and colloquial language of social and work life

Say it Clearly

This short 20-hour pronunciation course is for students who wish to improve their ability to speak English more effectively, with clearer pronunciation and greater fluency.

By the end of the course you will be able to: 

  • articulate English sounds and words correctly
  • identify the differences between similar sounds
  • understand word stress and its importance for clear communication
  • understand and use sentence stress to convey meaning more clearly
  • understand the features of connected speech 
  • vary your intonation to communicate meaning precisely.
