Our Kindergarten course nurtures a lifelong love of reading by equipping students with essential early literacy and phonics strategies. These foundational skills are designed to build reading confidence and prepare children for a successful transition to Primary 1.

Your child's English language progress

We help your child succeed at every stage of their academic journey whilst developing the essential 21st century skills and proficiencies to be able to thrive in the fast-changing world. Our courses are aligned to the syllabus set by the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE)

By the end of Kindergarten 2, students will be ready to begin Primary 1.

Our ultimate goal is to develop confident and creative users of English. To achieve this, we focus on strengthening literacy skills and encouraging speaking confidence in every learner. We believe that meaningful learning occurs when children truly understand what they read. That’s why comprehension tasks are an integral part of our curriculum, helping students make sense of texts and engage with them more deeply.

They will have a firm grasp of the Jolly Phonics sounds and will be moving towards becoming independent readers. They will develop their comprehension skills through story-related activities and be able to write simple paragraphs. Weekly spelling tests, that cover course content and irregular spellings, will help to enhance their literacy.

As with our other pre-school courses, 'Show and Tell' sessions will continue on a weekly basis. In the second half of term, students will be asked to focus on the books they are reading with the aim of improving both their comprehension skills and speaking confidence.
